A Center for Creative Expression

Brush with Nature - Plein Air

OUR MISSION & VISION:
Art Mundo strives to create a world of possibilities through education, exhibitions and public outreach programs in the contemporary arts. The Center is a supportive and creativeenvironment providing people of all ages and backgrounds the opportunities to create, study and present art, nurturing artists' careers in all stages of development and serving the community's art and cultural needs by expanding public understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of art.

ABOUT US:

The Art Mundo Center for Creative Expression, a not-for-profit community arts education organization, is located in Historic Downtown Ft. Pierce, FL at the ArtBank, 111 Orange Ave. Co-founders Allie Comer, Sherry Horton, Ginny Piech Street and Deena Wynne began talking seriously about their dream in December 2007 and refined their ideas and goals at meetings through the first part of 2008. Art Mundo incorporated in August 2008 and obtained its non-profit status in January, 2009.

A curriculum of art and craft classes is offered year round in the ArtBank Underground and a new exhibit opens every month on the second Wednesday evening. Art Mundo offers a plein air event, Brush with Nature, every spring and hosts the county wide high school art show, also in the spring. The annual fundraising event, Calendart, occurs in the fall and offers many artful opportunities for artists and art patrons alike. Please explore on this website more information on all Art Mundo events and educational offerings.

Art Classes at Art Mundo

ART MUNDO SALONS:

Art Mundo Salons will continue throughout winter and spring. Salons are moving to Art Wednesdays - the second Wednesday of every month from 5-8 pm in March. One or more artists will be providing free demos of their art mediums at every Art Wednesday. During salons, a free one hour demonstration will be given by an artist or craftsperson. Some of the Art Mundo studios will be open.

Each salon will feature a different artist. If you are an artist, it is a good time for you to promote your work and classes. If you are a visitor, it is a great time to see what is offered at Art Mundo.
